invites you to
64 Polish Crystallographic Meeting
July 6 - 7, 2023
and
Scientific Workshop of the Polish Crystallographic Association
"Electron diffractometry"
and Session of Young Crystallographers Section
of the Polish Crystallographic Association
July 5, 2023
Scientific Workshop and Session of Young Crystallographers Sections of PCA will be held on July 5 at the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, ul. Okólna 2. The Polish Crystallographic Meeting will be held on July 6 and 7 at the Congress Center of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, ul. Janiszewski 8, right next to Grunwaldzki Square.
The topics of the Meeting include basic and applied research on the ideal and real structure of crystals carried out with the use of X-ray radiation obtained both with traditional methods and in synchrotrons, research with the use of neutrons and electrons, problems of symmetry, phase transformations and crystal growth, new research and computational methods and all other aspects of crystallography. The conference is an annual meeting place and a forum for exchanging ideas of all Polish crystallographers. As part of the Meeting, there will be a Special Session dedicated to Professor Janusz Lipkowski, on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
The PCA workshop “Practical Electron Crystallography with Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-ED” conducted by specialists from the Rigaku company familiarizes the audience with the basics of the method, the differences between X-ray and electron diffraction, the fields of research and the practical application of the XtaLAB Synergy-ED electron diffractometer in material research, in particular nanomaterials.
The Scientific Session of the PCA Young Crystallographers Section will consist of 10-minute oral presentations and discussions on them. The best presentations will be rewarded. After the Session there will be an integration meeting at the grill. We encourage all young crystallographers to participate: students, doctoral students and young doctors who defended their doctorate not earlier than 5 years from the date of registration for the Session.
Participation in the Polish Crystallographic Meeting is paid for employees and doctoral students, free for students and participants from Ukraine. Participation in the Scientific Workshops and Sessions of the Young Crystallographers Section is free of charge.
Registration for the Meeting, PCA Workshops and Session of the Section of Young Crystallographers, accepting applications for plenary and poster sessions and accepting fees for participation in the Meeting will start on May 4, 2023.
Preferred language of the conference is English.
All the necessary information will appear on the website of the conference: https://konkryst.intibs.pl/
